The Collier County Sheriff’s Office and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children of Collier County are presenting two free child ID events Monday in recognition of Florida Missing Children’s Day.
During these events families may have their children fingerprinted and photographed, with the information being placed on a CD for the parents to take home and store in a safe place. Families also will receive two wallet-sized ID cards with their children’s information and a free DNA collection kit for each child.
The first event is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Collier County Library headquarters, 2385 Orange Blossom Drive. The second will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Naples YMCA of the Palm, 5450 YMCA Road.
